Born and raised in Saudi Arabia with a South Asian background, he grew up inside deeply international communities, moving between Arabic, Urdu and English, and between the values, traditions and expectations of each. That upbringing shapes his work, which explores themes of identity and belonging, what freedom and love mean from one culture to the next, and the moments where those differences meet.
